WP Title: Research & Mapping Exercise

Aims:
To undertake the research activity to map out the key characteristics and the core elements of the EU-CDEC and to establish what the accreditation process looks like in each EU country.

a) Interviews will be conducted, transcribed and analysed in the native language;

b) Key components will be translated into English and collated;

c) Key components will then be translated back into the native language, in order that they can be fed back to participants in each country to confirm accuracy and completeness. This ensures that the summary report is based on complete and accurate data.

The findings from all 6 countries will then be analysed and collated to develop the mapping exercise report.

Tasks:

2.1 Preparation: HKA

To develop templates for:

-Recruitment schedule with agreed content to include type and nature od the target group

-Interview and focus group schedule

-Questionnaire with agreed items and an information sheet to ascertain what the accreditation (approval) process looks

  like in each EU country (data required for WP5)

2.2 Implementation: All

-Run interviews and focus groups

-Collate findings

2.3 Collation of all findings to produce mapping exercise report: HKA

WORK PACKAGE 3- HANNOVER MEDICAL SCHOOL
WP Title: Adaptation
Start: 04/2014
End: 10/2014

Aims:
To adapt the German CDE course including education and training materials by comparing and contrasting  with the key components produced in the research and mapping exercise in WP2.
Each component of the German CDE course will be examined alongside key components identified in WP2 to identify similarities and differences

 

Tasks:
3.1 Review MHH
-To work with the GDA to provide the CDE course documentation and review
  documentation from data provided from WP2
3.2 Adaptation MHH
-To ensure that key components of the course include any unique learning and assessment
  criteria from individual EU countries and are incorporated into the new EU-CDEC

WORK PACKAGE 5 - P&A KYRIAKOU CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL
WP Title: Accreditation
Start: 06/2015
End: 09/2015

Aim:
To develop guidelines for accreditation of the EU-CDEC across the EU countries based on the findings from the questionnaire conducted in WP2

The guidelines for accreditation for the EU-CDEC will be produced through comparing and contrasting the individual guidelines from each EU country and identifying similarities and differences. This process will be undertaken alongside all relevant ECVET documentation to ensure the guidelines produce a set of transferable principles (learning objectives)
A technical framework will be produced from activity undertaken in task 5.1 to include a description of:
• the CDE award to include the principles and rationale;
• admissions criteria for students;
• units of learning;
• learning outcomes;
• validation process;
• accreditation of the award.


Tasks:

WORK PACKAGE 1 - LEEDS BECKETT UNIVERSITY

WP Title: Project Management & Coordination

Start: 10/2013

End: 09/2015 

WP1 is dedicated to the strategic management and smooth running of project activities from a formal, administrative and financial point of view.

It will also manage relationships (including reporting) with ECORYS.

It will include the following objectives:

  • Ensure achievement of the project objectives within time and budget;

  • Ensure communication and coordination among the partners;

  • Liaise with ECORYS;

  • Prepare and monitor partners’ contributions to activities and financial reports (interim and periodic);

  • Assess cost statements and consolidate reports;

  • Prepare and chair project meetings, review project activities together with the other partners

WORK PACKAGE 4 - LEEDS BECKETT UNIVERSITY
WP Title: Piloting & Testing
Start: 11/2014
End: 5/2015
 
Aims
To pilot and test the new EU-CDEC produced in WP3

WP4 will take the EU-CDEC to each EU partner country and through a series of workshops it will be verified by:
(i) the original members of the working groups that participated in WP2, namely CYP with T1DM and their families as well as HCPs, in order to ensure that all the issues raised have been included in the EU-CDEC, that no areas of importance have been omitted and that all issues have been correctly interpreted;

(ii) a testing process with a group of new participants to strengthen the validity of the EU-CDEC. The outcomes from each workshop will be analysed and used to make any final adjustments to the EU-CDEC

WORK PACKAGE 7 - FALKUTNI NEMOCNICE V MOTOLE
WP Title: Quality Assurance
Start: 10/2013
End: 09/2015
 
WP7 will establish and maintain a Quality Assurance strategy throughout the lifetime of the project.

FNM will provide templates (i.e. evaluation questionnaires) for the periodic review of the project’s and partners’ performance in line with the project plan. The evaluation plan will be run under internal monitoring of activities and measured against the project proposal work-plan objectives, calendar and finances and recommendations will be made in order to improve the project products or processes throughout the project's lifetime.

Evaluation questionnaires will be provided for project events (partners' meetings, workshops, seminar, conference) and project activities. Partners will be invited to complete the questionnaires and results will feed into the Interim (M22) and Final internal evaluation report (M24).

 

WORK PACKAGE 6 - APDP - DIABETES PORTUGAL
WP Title: Valorisation
Start: 10/2013
End: 09/2015

Aims:
Valorisation will include both communication and dissemination activities and exploitation of the project results

The following will be produced:
1) project/network logo;
2) project brochure presenting the partnership and expected results;
3) presentation for promoting the project/partnership at EU/national events;
4) a total of 3 press releases to be sent out: (i) to announce the start of the project with its activities; (ii) the mid-results obtained and (iii) the final outcomes.
An Exploitation Strategy Plan (M24) will take the findings of the project and make recommendations to exploit the project’s outputs and findings. A final conference in Poland will present the project results to stakeholders. A web streaming service will also be provided to maximise dissemination by virtual attendance.

  • Plan prepared at the beginning of the project and APDP will present it during the KoM in M2
